Power BI Analysis:
Los Angeles County Restautant Inspections
Using real-world restaurant inspection data from Los Angeles County, California, I explored and developed an executive dashboard and drill through map for a mock city contractor.
I was tasked with providing insights into the inspection data to help the organization identify areas where they could focus their efforts.
Utilizing Microsoft Power BI to conduct the analysis and data analysis expressions (DAX) measures to track inspection data on a month-to-month basis, I discovered that the city of Los Angeles tends to be an outlier in this dataset. Focusing inspection efforts downtown Los Angeles could help alleviate these gaps.
While gaps in inspections exist, it is worth noting that Los Angeles County as a whole carries a respectable 92% A-rating overall.
